He flinched visibly as she touched his arm, and dropped his arm as though she were burning it with her touch. It didn't help that she was being all nice and reassuring, not at all. Robbie pushed a shaky hand through his hair, for once not even thinking about his appearance in the slightest. He smiled extremely uneasily and unconvincingly at his awkwardness and her tease, turning away, nodding. "Yeah, Miss Patil," he replied, not realising the slip as he tried to get the hell away from her. "Rogue filing cabinets," he repeated vaguely as he maneuvered around the metal beast blocking his path, bumping his elbow and screwing his face up as the twinge radiated up his arm.
It was great relief that he sighed as she finally stepped back and away, though she didn't look away, her eyes wary. Robbie tried not to stare back in a panic, turning and striding in the opposite direction, heading for the MAB offices to hide. Fuck.
