Tracey made a bit of a face, and her excitement deflated like a leaky balloon, her shoulders drooping. Writing was one thing, but reading... she could do it, but textbooks were always so painfully boring that she had to keep all utensils and quills far away lest she decide to jab one in her forehead.
"I suppose I should." It wasn't quite a pout, but it wasn't far. She scanned the titles again. "We'll look for you while we're at it. Do you prefer landscapes or people? Or... buildings. Animals. ... I tend to look at what's in the paintings before the technique, when I'm looking for something pretty. Unless you want to critique those in the book as well?"
