"I get it, but I can't figure out how to wrap my head around making it work," Nate admitted. "And much as I like playing with all the kids around, I want my own someday. Ours. Some wee one we tuck in at night and when they wake up shrieking from night terrors, we're the ones that go running, which means the wee one would live with us."
He made a soft purring sound, settling in as he always did from Luag's touch. "But if we wait too long, I don't think Trina'd do it. It's not the kind of thing you do after you get married, and I don't want to make her put her life on hold for us." His head bowed slightly. "It's complicated, isn't it?"
