Nate shook his head. "I'll ask Trina about being a surrogate, but I don't want her to have to raise a child alone. Even if we're helping, she'd still be doing the bulk of it on her own. And if she gets serious with that bloke, then he would end up raising our child, and I don't like that at all."
Nate tried to relax back into Luag's touch. "No one's going to like these rules. People ought to be able to have kids with the folks they love. And raise them well. It's all the forced arrangements that were trouble in the first place. It's best for a kid if they're wanted, yeah?"
