Blaise was comfortable, trying hard not to feel guilty about what was happening and who he was with. He continued to caress her stomach slowly, stroking his hand over the rounded flesh slowly. He had missed her, missed so many things and their easy friendship. She knew him and he needed someone like that in his life.
"It will be over before you know it and then you will be back to your old self, organs stronger." He was smiling as he stared out over the water. He chewed on his bottom lip, inhaling softly and smiling at the familiar scent.
"Tell me how things are with you. Is he treating you well?" It was said quietly, he swallowed hard trying not to think about why the thought of Dean with her made a small stone appear in the pit of his stomach. He and Daphne hadn't been together in years and he would say he had gotten over her then but sitting on a secluded beach with her in his arms made it seem like he hadn't let her go as much as he wanted to. He leaned his head against hers and tried to keep his focus on the ocean and not really about the woman in his arms. He kept reminding himself she was pregnant with another mans baby, she was another man's girlfriend.
