"We used to go to all sorts as children, Astoria loved the water, it was someplace we always felt safe." And it still held true to that day; though perhaps that was the companionship rather then the beach itself, or more likely, a bit of both.
Daphne had nearly decided to let her hand slip into his when he was stopping, looking around and she smiled, doing the same. "It looks lovely," and it truly did; the beach was just within view but not so close they would get wet, the rocks secluded them from the strong breeze that was beginning to pick up, Blaise had perfect taste (but she already knew that).
She hated that he began to set up everything himself, nearly pulled the blanket from him to smooth it out herself but became distracted when he mentioned bringing a chair. "Oh no you don't," Daphne pulled out her wand and rolled her wrist, casting a cushioning charm over the blanket. "There, this will do just fine. You do not need to be so protective love, I am still a fully functional witch, if just two times my normal size." Winking at him, she moved to smooth down the skirt of her dress to sit demurely on the blanket, curling her legs under herself.
