"Such secrecy is a fact of life, Pansy," Draco said flatly. "The general public believes that Diggory does the right thing. The general public believes they can make me show my arm at any time, that they can deny me anything from medical care to freedom, because of both marks which lie there. I'm sorry if you feel left out, or that I am patronizing you, but the entire point of secrecy is that one cannot discuss it in private with those not involved. If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't suggest making it so that you canbe involved, but until that time, no, I do not feel comfortable laying other peoples' lives in your hands without their consent."
He sat up, regarding her across the table. "The only secrets under my control are my own, and those you are free to have. But politics is a separate issue, and you must be patient."
