"I've been skipping but I don't leave a party," she said cheerfully, her eyes glazed with the effects of drink as she smiled sloppily. "Good! I didn't want to get cranky before the new year even started."
She rolled her eyes as he scolded her. "Well then, you'll have to keep me warm," she said, wrapping herself against him to spite him in jest. She wasn't drenched enough to do actual damage, at least she was pretty sure she wasn't. It was hard to think it was even possible to be cold. Her body felt so warm right now, so happy. She loved the feeling of being more than tipsy before it spiraled into a drunken blur. It was a fine line to balance but she was a pro.
In the end the drying charm had been a blessing. It was fucking cold outside on the roof. She had a feeling the champagne wasn't going to do much in the way of keeping them warm. She pulled her coat closer to her, sliding to sit next to him. "Bloody hell, this is gorgeous." The fireworks began and for a moment she felt like a little kid as she watched the show, the sound booming in her ears. "Wow."
