"This is already pretty risky." He was cautious, and before now, he'd really only seen the dangers of flying. Hell, he wasn't even comfortable in an aeroplane, and he never went on rollercoasters. Of course, this experience was opening his eyes. Maybe a little bit of risk was good.
He grinned at her then. "At least you recognise my intelligence."
"No," he said, his voice kind of high. No, he was enjoying himself. "I just," he broke off to laugh. "I just couldn't remember. And I suppose I need to practise it a few times." He checked to see if she was watching before following her instructions and slowly gliding to the ground. The land was ridiculously bumpy, his legs buckling under the suddeness of the earth under his feet, and he stumbled onto his knees, but at least he was down.
He rolled over onto his arse, laying the broom next to him on the grass, and looked up at Alicia, catching his breath and dusting off the dirt from his knees. "Give me a minute, I'll come back up."
