Emma walked through the shop, marveling at just how different it looked when it wasn't full of folks, most of whom towered over her and didn't have the manners to split between them. She nudged the door open, grinning when he greeted her. "M'not that wee," she pointed out. "Even if I did need a box yesterday. Nobody wanted to look down to my height to find the girl at the till, and they'd just start poking about until I poked back."
She shrugged. It hadn't been bad, although it was certainly interesting. "Haven't been that busy in a long while. But they're just like any other creatures, folks are. Soothe 'em a bit, give 'em what they want, and send 'em off happy. And if one pees on the rug, thwap 'em on the nose." She grinned. "So to speak."
