She was more relaxed but far from sleeping. She felt comfortable in his arms and it made some of her worries seem less important. When he broke the silence she held on tighter, unwilling to let the moment pass. He wouldn't be there when she slept. He wouldn't be able to stop the never ending nightmares that seemed to come to her every other night. At least the tapping at the window would be gone, that was something.
"Okay," she reluctantly agreed, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight hug. "Thank you, Terence. I love you."
