Terence knew that a day would come when he couldn't fly would come. Eventually he'd get too old, lose his skills and coordination, and he knew that when that day came, it would also be the day that he took over his father's publishing company. He wasn't excited about it, but Terence had accepted that future. It wasn't something worth arguing over with Astoria.
"No regrets, love," Terence replied softly. Astoria finally seemed to be relaxing, and he was glad for that. She was the last person that Terence wanted worried about all the changes in the world, but he knew that he couldn't protect her forever. Besides, it made Terence feel good to be able to take care of her. Soon, Astoria was quiet and breathing softly. Terence was just relieved that she hadn't been hurt at whatever demonstration had taken place in the Alley.
"Astoria?" Terence asked softly, trying to see if she'd managed to lull herself into sleep. "Going to put you to bed, okay?"
