"That doesn't make it right. I would have kept you from it if it were possible," Terence softly replied. He knew that she'd had Daphne at school with her then, but Terence was determined that Astoria would never again suffer similarly.
"Only a last resort," Terence replied with a nod. "And all of us, together. Even if I had to knock Daphne out cold to escape the country, it'd be all of us," he assured her. "Rose, too, if you so wished. Anybody you wished," he offered before he thought that mentioning Rose by name might seem suspicious to Astoria. "If you could go anywhere else, rebuild the family anywhere else, where would you go?" Terence asked, trying to lighten things a bit.
"What's wrong, Astoria? Are you and Rose not getting on?" he asked, somewhat confused. Astoria had just wanted to go home to make sure that Rose was well, but she didn't want to stay there? It didn't make sense to him. "But it's best for you to send her an owl if you want to stay here," Terence agreed.
