She buried her face in his shoulder, surrounding herself in everything that felt and smelled like being safe. Whatever was happening out there couldn't come in here, not when he was protecting her. When the Carrows ran Hogwarts she hadn't had him to keep her strong and if it hadn't been for Daphne she wouldn't have made it at all. Now she had him and if he needed to keep secrets from her than so be it. She trusted him. He'd never deceive her when it counted.
"No it's not, nothing is alright. They're going to blame us. They're going to blame us for all of that mess when it was probably the Ministry that did it," she moaned. Her arms were hanging around him, her fingers holding on tightly as if he'd float away. She pictured him in that horrible hospital bed and hung on tighter, thankful that at least he was here and not rotting in a box. "I can't keep doing this. It's too hard."
