The snicker that came out of Kate's lips just couldn'tshould have been one he could have predicted about a hundred miles away. Actually, the sound that came out was almost a cackle. Kate really couldn't help it, she really coulnd't. It was just... "Really? Really? You're going to... you're going to graaaaciously give up the purple for the clearly superior Lucky?" She had to bring a hand to her mouth to stop from letting out an audible snort like sound. She just, okay, maybe she was too amused by the fact but... she also couldn't help but make fun of him for it. Sure, purple was a Hawkeye thing, but he'd started that and Clint was anything but shy about his favouring of the colour. Anything but shy about it.
Kate's face went a little more serious when he started giving her an actual sit rep of the situation... "I mean I was joking but..." She sort of trailed off. The threat of world ending sort of shit wasn't really new to her, I mean, it was basically what they did for a living but...
That didn't really make it any more fun to think that people had actually lived through something like that. Lived through the fallout but... that did mean it was possible to? That meant that if people worked together they could survive the worst, that was something to take as a positive - right? She would, she'd take it as a positive anyway. You had to take things like that as a positive. You had to look for that little bit of light, that strength to hold on to, that new skill to pick yourself up and move forward. "This one got any fun waterslides, like the resort?" She said - the joking tone returning almost immediately after she actually processed his half-confirmation.
