“Christmas pudding? This fight is over making Christmas pudding?”
Harry sneered at Ron and Draco who were at each other’s throats in the sitting room as he’d stepped out of the flat for a few short minutes.
“He started it!” Ron and Draco accused each other in near unison.
“I…I just can’t.” Harry sighed and left the room, shaking his head. He took a seat at the kitchen table and waited for either his boyfriend or his best friend to come in and apologise. When no one came in to speak to him for ten minutes, Harry feared the worst, and returned to the sitting room.
He was surprised to find both Ron and Draco wrapping presents and laughing. They were joking with each other and they hadn’t even realised that Harry was back in the room.
Harry cleared his throat and both the boys looked up at him and Harry suppressed his smile; they both looked like two little kids that were just the most innocent things in the world—which of course, they were not.
“So what brought on this amity?” Harry asked.
Ron opened his mouth but Draco cut him off. “We came to a decision.”
“What kind of decision?”
Draco looked at Ron and gave him the ‘go-head’ to speak. “Since we were fighting about who was going to make the Christmas pudding for the dinner at my parents’ so we decided that tonight we both are going to make one and you’ll taste it. You decide which one is better and we’ll go with that.”
Draco smiled at Harry as if he knew that Harry would definitely pick his, and Ron gave Harry a hopeful look that said that he couldn’t betray his best friend.
“Oh boy,” Harry said and left the room again. He needed to call Hermione.
