"Alstromeria, will you and the children be spending the night?" Severus asked as he cleared plates off the table with a flick of his wand. Harry and Jim had already taken the children into the other room to finish decorating the Christmas tree.
"And Jim, dad. You seem to forget him."
"I do not forget him. I was simply asking if you wanted Harry to expand the house for you tonight."
Allie sighed. "I know, dad. It's just that you have this stubborn streak that refuses to acknowledge certain things in our lives."
"Such as?" He asked, sitting at the table with his hands folded together.
Alstromeria took a seat next to him. "Such as Jim, for example. You might include him in some of your inquiries." She smiled. "And Harry."
"What about Him?"
Allie raised her eyebrow.
It was at that point that Severus decided that of all the things Alstromeria inherited from him, her ability to convey a complete thought with only the raising of one brow was the one he liked least.
