How could conversation ever be so boring? She detested silence when riding, and she enjoyed making Eragos talk when he obviously did not want to on long rides, or long wagon trails, or whatever they found themselves in. But this was boring. She was beginning to think that anyone cursed with a title in front of their name, except Eragos, was severely boring. Did lots of money make people boring? Did going to school or having tutors make people boring? Eithne wanted to yawn. The threat was there, Conlan's a friend of mine, but it didn't actually make Eithne cringe. She'd had about every punishment a Rider could get. She'd been on Dragon Duty, which was horrible. She'd hoed a few patches in the sunshine. She'd run water up and down flights of stairs in buckets even though they had things to do that for them.
She'd even sat in Agrippa's office as his personal secretary before. Which by far was the worst thing ever. She had such cramps in her hands after that. He made her write down everything. And his thoughts were boring. Not as boring as this, but boring. If she thought threatening them was going to get Vargis in line though, she was very very wrong. Vargis did not care. And that was one of the reasons why Vargis was so cool. Eithne wanted to be like that. I don't care what you do, I'm just going to be a jerk! Oh but she couldn't.
She really didn't want Eragos mad at her or something. At least not right now.
Still.
"Just keeping my eyes open, considering what easy targets we make riding all together out in the open.." Eithne shrugged. "I won't lie and tell you that I'm not considering how much warmer I'll be once I'm.." Punching someone in the face. "..sure we're absolutely safe."
