Aeotha struck the man across the face again, this time she hear the terrible sound of teeth snapping under the force of her attack. A few pieces scattered and bounced off the floor as the man spit them out. He was down. Aeotha cleared the blood from her staff with a quick wave of it and jumped over the body. Not dead, just stunned, injured. How many men were already dead? How many elves had died in order for this mad experiment to take place. Did it require blood? Or did Gershul simply enjoy seeing Elves die so much that he thought a village full of them was fair game? Aeotha could neither read minds nor did she think she would want to read Gershul's mind. It would probably drive her as insane as the man was. But if she said something like that she was sure Skandra would tell her that his father was not insane. Perhaps a genius.
The next man's nose was already broken and he was bleeding profusely over the floor. With the grace of a war trained Priestess Aeotha pulled one of the cloths from her bag and covered his nose with her hand, his hand went over that. Aeotha stared at the man's eyes for a moment, before she let go. If he got up to fight she'd put him back on the ground. Aeotha did not want to kill more of these children, that's what they were. Working for their father. A father who didn't love them at all. Who only wanted to find the right gateway. No matter how many lives it cost in the end.
She was trying to step over bodies instead of on top of them. there was a lot of blood going around. There was even more death. Wherever the other Priestess was, she wasn't here and Aeotha was more concerned at the moment for the two immortals fighting ahead of her. Skandra and Gershul were both willing to kill each other. Aeotha wanted to see Gershul dead for what he'd done to all these innocent Elves.
The last few steps were at a run and Aeotha's staff struck against the spear Gershul was wielding against Skandra. She would worry about the other immortals in the room once the immediate worry of Gershul killing Skandra was out of her mind.
"I think you've killed enough people." Aeotha ground out.
