Aeotha still felt as though Skandra didn't grasp what she meant by her uselessness without magic. He was used to fighting without it, and was capable of amazing things without it. Aeotha nodded a few times. She understood what he meant, of course. He would kill Gershul no matter what it took, with or without his alchemy. Aeotha stepped forward carefully, for a moment she was looking him in the eye as if just looking at him would lend her the strength she needed. It worked a little bit, at least. She moved on to the rope and took hold of it again.
"Alright Skandra. I'll do what I can. But you're going to have to warn me next time you point that Vel at someone." Aeotha only smiled briefly before she braced herself for another climb. She adjusted her handholds and stepped off the floor then followed through with another handhold before climbing higher.
The greatest problem Aeotha had with all of this was that she didn't know a thin about Alchemy. Skandra could do some heart stopping sorts of things with his alchemy, but what of Gershul? His father had to know more than Skandra did about alchemy. She wished Shantar hadn't been such a fool and had joined them. She hoped she wouldn't find the other priestess dead. It would be too much. Aeotha was worried enough about dying herself, but if she could trade her life for the other Elf's? She'd do it gladly.
But she doubted Gershul was the bargaining sort of fellow.
