"I did warn you." Aeotha spat savagely, as she twisted her staff back behind her.
Aeotha raised her free hand and rubbed her eyes again even as the man gasped and wheezed out painful breaths. Aeotha did not feel an ounce of guilt, as the man had been trying to kill the both of them not even a second ago, finally her vision was clear and Aeotha was looking between Skandra and the man. The end of her staff was bloody, as was the man's face, a trail of blood ran from his mouth and down his chin. Aeotha had the staff at the ready to strike again should he move to attack either of them, but he seemed preoccupied with his probably fatal injuries.
"Are you alright?" She asked Skandra this time, his face was covered in blood but she couldn't tell if it was his or if it was the man whom he'd shot. Aeotha grimaced a little while looking at him. Her arm was the only thing that hurt. While trading blows with the man who was still on the ground he had hit her roughly with a fist. it would likely bruise, but it would not kill her. She should have felt more sickened by the fact that Skandra had stuck the man with two knives but the situation was too dire to really care. She was listening.
Was there more?
Could they climb up from where the men came from and head to the top of the spire?
