Aeotha was still angry for a time after he said sorry, she almost snapped out Are you?, but refrained from it. Her head was turned away from him and hear ear pointed roughly toward the sky. She was hearing the squeaking sounds too and they were much more important than being angry. She should have said sorry back to him, there was no reason to be angry with Skandra. Even if he didn't see her point.. well he hardly did. But she still liked him either way. Wasn't she a 'turn the other cheek' sort of person? Of course, and it seemed that while she exhausted both cheeks for Skandra she always found a way to turn them again. Because he meant more to her than many in the world. She didn't have this kind of closeness with just anyone.
She was just angry and scared because she felt useless. Aeotha never felt useless. So here she was, standing there away from him and listening to the noises there with her eyes wide and her mouth slightly open as she strained. What were those noises. She wished her magic worked. Then it happened. Aeotha only just caught the rail tightly once the platform jerked. It took all of her to keep herself upright, and now her eyes were wider. She was staring over the edge to see how far they'd come and how far they'd fall if they.
Aeotha slowly worked her way, hands both on the rail, and her feet just sliding slowly, until she was side by side with Skandra as much as was allowed.
"I think they know we're down here." Aeotha said quietly, she didn't think there was anything she could do to help him crank the thing, and the only thing she could do was hold on tight and hope they weren't about to fall to their deaths.
