"I'm quite sure I want to go and that nothing could change my mind." Short of something more divine. But there were no such things for any of them. No white light, no heavenly chord struck at the right moment. Just a long drop and an ominous blackness.
"And please just call me Aeotha." The smile found itself back on her face.
Aeotha felt as she had when she was looking into a cavern which lead to the Underdark, the fear never made it to her eyes like it did to Uaine or even Líobhan. Although Líobhan was a Sylvan elf, and thought herself made of something tougher than her obviously delicate cousins, she had absolutely no idea what it was like to stare into the face of something unexplained. She'd know soon enough and she hoped that both young priestesses, if they did continue along as they both seemed determined to do, found out they were made of stronger stuff than this. Aeotha wasn't sure why she was thinking of that. Or hoping that they found the steel resolve that Aeotha had once found in the middle of a blood soaked field with an almost dead Knight and an army of orc.
Death was not to be feared. Death was not their ending. The Grace of Lorien would either see them through this or bring them home. Uaine was looking eagerly between Skandra and Aeotha, and Líobhan looked almost disgusted at the idea that someone would ask such a thing before this. Aeotha, however, just looked at him with cool eyes and a smile fixed on her face as if all they were about to do was sit at another table to play a game of cards.
She stepped forward and into what was obviously the younger immortal's space and looked up into his bright eyes. Skandra did not want to go, and he thought it was a foolish plight to descend into something that could probably kill all of them. But he did not complain about such things unless he could make it funny. He wasn't afraid. Not for them, or for himself. The gambler just wondered what odds were on the table this time and when he'd find another drink in his hand or another pretty woman on his knee.
"Let's make a deal. You let me go first, and I'll give you a kiss for luck. I'm the smallest of us and the easiest to pull back out. Not to mention I'm the one getting all of us in this. Does that sound fair to you?"
