Aeotha lowered her eyes and considered who it was she would bring with her. She'd gladly leave the rest of the girls behind. Even if she was ready and willing to lay her life on the line for something like this she didn't think it was fair for her to decide two of them had to accompany her. They had taken vows just as much as she had as a girl, to protect those who could not protect themselves, to shine the light of Lorien in those places cast in darkness, and to do such things without hesitation. She could not expect them to willingly throw away their lives for any cause, let alone this one.
Aeotha's jaw was tight as she thought it over. More concerned about the girls then she was about the men's safety, but that was fair. They had offered, they had not been ordered. As for Skandra and his ridiculous use of her title she merely shook her head at him and turned to the priestesses behind her. She looked down the line, of the six assembled Aeotha didn't see even one of them that looked hardened enough for such a task. Had any of them seen a war? Fought a losing battle?
"It's your choice. I would willing take any of you along but I cannot predict the future or ensure that we make it out of there alive. of course I hope and pray for the best but I've no illusions. No one will think less of you from standing back and staying here." One of their number dropped backwards a step, then another, until only two of the priestesses were still standing forward and facing Aeotha with almost eager, but frightened eyes. Dedication was a delicate and beautiful thing. But, as people liked to tell her, somewhat foolish.
"Very well. Líobhan and Uaine." She bowed her head to the both of them. Uaine, was the high elf priestess who had giggled. Líobhan was a taller Sylvan elf with a determined face.
"The rest of you can begin looking into a way to seal off the area should the sphere grow or begin to move. If we do not return I do not want it spreading. The temples have lent us all of their text and the general has a tent prepared for your research. But act quickly either way." Aeotha let out a breath and turned around, the four priestesses began back the way they came while the two fussed with the provisions they had with them.
Aeotha worried that she should have chosen, but it simply didn't feel right. She settled her thumb against her lower lip and let her eyes wander back towards that sphere. What was inside of it, if anything now? And why was it here, who had placed it here of all places. A random attack? She didn't know and wouldn't until she was inside. She wanted to ask to go first, but she would wait until they were closer instead of beginning that argument with them.
One of them would object. Or both.
"Is there anything either of you need from the camp before we leave?"
