Vedette could not tear her eyes from the sky. A Dragon such as the one they were looking at did not belong in such a snowy region, she thought it almost mad that it would be there of it's own will. Snow would harm a dragon such as this one, just as fire and warm regions caused her harm and discomfort. It was as strange as it was dangerous. But she didn't feel an ounce of the fear she might have felt were she a human. Instead she wanted to take to the sky and snow that Dragon exactly how she felt about his killing humans and working for a mad witch.
She stayed still beside Koe, but did not avert her eyes from the dragon which could not see them, at least, not yet. Perhaps they would be lucky and he would miss them entirely, but a dragons sense of smell was so keen.. his eyes could see more than a humans could. She could hope that he would miss them, but she did not have much faith in such things. Perhaps if she hid them all in a clever mound of snow?
She thought Koe would have disliked that, even moreso than Horon would have. It would have been entirely too cold for them. It would have felt like home to her.
"I think it's strange." Vedette under her breath. "A dragon like that would never normally come somewhere like this... the harm of the snow, the discomfort of the cold.. "
