Ithacles was ready to knock about with a lunging overhand right when the fellow was swallowed by the sun. That's how it looked anyway, until Ithacles figured out what happened. One second he was there, flinching and ducking left, the next he was engulfed in the light and noise. The Prince himself hopped back in his startle.
"The fuck was that?" he asked quietly in the one moment of silence that followed.
But Skandra was sweeping around with that strange weapon, repelling the crowd like magnets pointed the wrong way.
"I think you would've had it," Cavras said as he revealed himself.
"Yeah, me too."
He got one last look at the burning man he'd just been fighting with. It didn't smell good at all. Rubbing a sore neck he nodded to his friends, gave everyone else the middle finger with a grand toss of his arm, and went for the exit.
