Vedette clenched her jaw when Ithacles was punched, she knew that had to hurt, but he had turned right into it. They had little time to work, and thankfully Skandra had spotted someone. She nodded to him, then turned in her chair and took off to the left of their table. It looked as if she was simply fleeing the fight. A proper lady would not have wanted to stay, and certainly no woman in her right mind would have stuck around. But she would have, and fought that man with everything in her arsenal. Unfortunately, they had a job to do right then and she could not worry about Ithacles and capture that man at the same time.
It should have been easier to wade through the crowd, but it was not. She had to appear to flee the scene, all the while keeping her eyes trained on the man Skandra had pointed out. Her lithe body proved helpful, there were some tighter squeezes among the crowd. Even with all the free space, she was wading deeper into the tables and between people to find the man.
She only hoped that Ithacles would be able to handle himself until they'd got their hands on the man. Finally she could see him clearly again. Watching Ithacles eagerly, as if hoping the Prince would fall. She scowled openly and hurried towards him.
She hoped Skandra was right and that Ithacles didn't die. Especially the second.
