Vedette had done enough staring daggers at someone for a lifetime. She hardly gave any other look to Skandra, or to Cavras when he bothered to look for the fact that he had not helped her, but scowls and other angry expressions. All of those she had in her arsenal had been used and before coming here she had grown tired to looking angrily at them. Instead her face was impassive, it held no notable emotion. One she had learned to master long after her first years among humans. There had never been a human as annoying or infuriating as Skandra Tyullis, some that were close, but none quite as annoying. Vedette could only remind herself that he'd somehow earned not only the favor of the Prince, but also of the King. She had defended him, after all.
Assaulting him wasn't so friendly, but then he had started it. If only she hadn't lost such a decent bow over it. Had it been another, one of her nicer bows. Ones that she reserved for important missions outside of the country, or those few times when she journeyed with Ithunvel himself.. She might have killed him. It was neither honorable, or fair to attack someone with a chair, especially someone who was suppose to be on the same side you were on. But, humans were strange. Very. She'd never have attacked another dragon over something so...
The only indication that she was thinking of anything was the sudden sigh that left her, it was replaced by the glass of water she was drinking.
And now she was suppose to, accept his apology? It wasn't as if could have simply cut her down. He might have thought it was as simple as her bow had been. Well he didn't know, and he wasn't going to know. She turned her head, just slightly in his direction. She supposed he wanted an apology in return for how she had acted. Part of her didn't want to give it, which would probably upset him. She glanced toward Ithacles for a second then back at Skandra.
"I'm sorry for hitting you with my bow." Vedette set her glass down. She almost added that she should have just shot him with an arrow, but only just held off. "And for trying to prevent everyone from going." And saving your life, because it seems to only cause problems, another distant thought. She did not smile, but nodded in what could be taken as a friendly way.
