While Vedette could very well hear the emotion in his speech, she still felt very naked, and very jarred by his conversation. By what he was, and what he meant for the world. Why would any Dragon wish death upon itself, wish to move on so soon. It was unnatural, to her. For someone to wish that, for those things to have happened at all. Sickening, and she couldn't help being angry still Now part of her anger was turned at Kow who expressed that he believed Horon. She did not, not yet. She didn't know if she ever truly would. She turned from them both and crossed her arms to look at a window. Unwilling to face either.
How could Koe believe him? How could Koe just move on from this conversation and into the next. Her father would never do something like that, give up his life to move onto the next world. Bahamut took them back when they were ready. They would journey to the next world when it was time. They did not give their power to humans, especially humans. She liked humans but she would never give them something like that. She would protect them, yes. She even felt bad about those horrible men who thought they could kill dragons only to be eaten by them.. She felt about about that. But she could never see herself asking for death. Or giving part of her power to a human.
It was too unbelievable. Too..
But Horon did seem upset. He did seem to be telling the truth. She didn't want to think that. Vedette wondered if she was being selfish by being so stubborn.
"You said that if I commanded your blood on the floor that you would give it. But you are unwilling to tell us what we want to know?" Vedette did not look at either of them, but she appeared to scoff at that, to find a bit of offense to it. "You lead me to believe your words are empty as are your promises and vows."
If that didn't get him talking she was going to find a very good reason to make everything much colder than her words were now. She may not have been able to freeze them completely, but she could certainly make them painfully uncomfortable. She still was unsure who was a threat.
