Vedette didn't enjoy being left out of the loop. She was as much Ithunvel's protector as she was Ithacles'. But the King did often insist that she followed Ithacles like a shadow. She did seem to understand him very well, and they were close, but Ithunvel was like a second father to her. If someone meant to kill him she would be there both with bow and with the ice of the mountains. Being left out of the loop meant she was as unprepared as all of them and it made her uncomfortable. The news of the King being ill today was also news that made her uneasy.
He wasn't an elf, but he wasn't human. A mix of the two. A good lifespan but..
She tried not to think about it, as she always did.
She crossed her arms and stood there watching Alvon. She kept her silence just because she wanted to hear it as much as Ithacles did and it she stayed quiet then Alvon would be speaking sooner. Her eyes fell on Skandra for a moment. She hoped, at least, that this didn't actually become as complicated as she thought it was going to be. Any plot to take the King's life had to be, but she hoped it wasn't.
