Vedette turned to watch him walk away quirking a brow, but she didn't mind that he'd left her right then. She put a hand to her forhead and pushed back into her hair. She wanted something more than wine. She needed.. comfort. But didn't know how to ask for it. Especially not from anyone here. It wasn't something she'd done as a human, especially not to anyone here.
Her father could always look at her and tell when she needed a hug. And while she could find some physical comforts from the men in Faustben.. or travellers. Really she didn't get attached to them like she did to..
She didn't need to think of that either. She jumped at the loud pop, even if he'd announced he was behind her. Turning round quickly only to be rewarded with a nice bubbling bottle of wine. She smiled for a moment, then took it off the bar and placed it to her lips.
She drink she took was not small. Really it was a full mouthed swallow. Satisfied for that second she leaned back onto the bar to watch him.
"I don't really celebrate birthdays, or really care much for them. It's just.. a day really. It just gets me thinking about the past." She shrugged a little and then took another drink. She set the bottle back on the bar and walked around it to stand in front of him. She leaned her back against the bar now.
"I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want it to be a big deal."
