Vedette nodded her agreement to what Skandra said. She'd only drained half of her glass but she hardly drank ale and she wasn't much of a drinker unless Ithacles was trying to drain the entire cellar in one go, then at least she would drink as much as she could stand so he couldn't himself. It didn't happen often, but enough that she didn't have much of a taste for it unless she could help it. Although as cold as she'd made her drink she did enjoy it.
Lethe. Vedette wanted to go see the Queen rather than the Princess. Lethe was a bother, and a bit of a bore compared to her brother. But Vedette got up anyway and looked over her shoulder to check on the occupants of the tavern. She was waiting for Ithacles to stand up and move before she would.
Vedette couldn't help feeling like this was bad. If Lethe really wanted to keep Ithacles out of this it was probably for a good reason. Or at least, a decent one. Should they go see Lethe? There was no other way, not now that Ithacles knew of some plot being hidden. The prince wouldn't let that kind of thing slip past him. Especially when it landed a friend of his in jail.
