Vedette was not as worried as she might have been normally about a fire mage. It was the cave itself which terrified her. She had not been in one since the breaking, and she had no intention of going into one at all. But now, now when the bandits were in here and she was suppose to be defending the country she swore herself to.. How could she enter though? The echo of a a dozen dying roars flooded her ears. She clutched one of her own ears suddenly and shrank back further behind the boulder and looked at the ground.
It was happening all over again. The cave was going to fall around her and crush them all. Crush her for good this time. Destroy her completely. Vedette felt hot suddenly, and she began to sweat this time, though it appeared to freeze against her skin. A sheen of silver around her eyes.
It wasn't really just a sheen of sweat. He didn't know that. She couldn't do it.
She could't go into the cave again.
"Could we.. push the boulder over the mouth of the cave, you think? And lock them in?"
