Eithne wanted to see him eat, and for a moment concern clearly marked her face. She had been worried about him, and not because Agrippa would have been furious. Eragos was the one who pulled her out of that miserable life of crime and more crime just to make enough to live off of. Of course, now it was just good pocket money, money that didn't go to food and could be used for things she wanted instead of needed. But Eragos was her teacher, and a friend somewhat. At least he could put up with her.
Most of the other Riders were pompous and Eithne hated them. Eragos.. there was something there that reminded her of herself. Not a lot, of course. He was a lord, he was a knight, he was boring and old. But he understood her, he put up with her... it was more than she could say for most people. Eithne scowled at him a moment, firmly intending to give him the stink eye in hopes that he understood that if the food wasn't gone when she came back that she'd be forcing him to eat tomorrow.
Or she'd wail and complain until he complied. She could definitely take him in his current state, and he'd do well to remember it. "Alright." She finally said.
She turned to the door and pushed it open again. "I'm down the hall, so if you need anything.." She didn't finish. She hoped he yelled loud enough for the other people here to hear him. She, on the other hand, was going to smoke and have a drink and rest while she still could.
Eithne closed the door behind her. She hoped he ate, she hoped he stopped wallowing. She didn't understand it, not all of it. She'd never understand that commitment to a person, a family member, a lover. No one stuck around long, nothing was forever. To hope so was foolish, the breaking showed everyone that.
Apparently a lot of people were stuck in the past.
