The way Vedette commented on moving targets had a certain implication. Either she had yet to make the connection between a moving target and a living target, or she just hadn't internalized the idea of putting arrows through human beings. The first time you did that, shot a broadhead through someone's lung or heart, it was surreal. You immediately wanted to undo it--which was rather stupid.
It was probably a good trait to have. Being willing to kill despite not wanting to made a responsible soldier. There were madmen out there who had taken up the sword simply to see it used...
