Brook was sufficiently freaked out when Tom ran out of her house with his hand on his gun, but she completely flipped when she heard the gunshots. Tom ran inside, and relief washed over her. She hadn't realized she had feared that much for Tom's safety, but before she could voice anything, he was urging that she leave.
"I can't leave!" she blurted out before she could think on it, but then she realized how idiotic it was. Tom was in charge of this particular situation. "I-I...I need to get my things." She went as quickly as she could to her room and grabbed her possessions. They were, thankfully, in a bag so that she could keep track of them more easily in case looters did come when she was asleep or something. She also grabbed her computer.
"W-What's going on? Who were those people? Tom?" Absentmindedly, she rubbed her stomach as if she were calming the little life inside her instead of trying to calm herself.
