NAME: Jonathan, also known at leaveyoufordead

AGE: 20

INTERESTS; I suppose my main interest in is history, especially the history of ancient civilisations. I’m studying Ancient History at Cardiff University in Wales. I’m also interested in genealogy. I love to read, especially historical stuff, be it factual or fictional, I don’t mind, but the two mixed together are awesome. I’m an avid RPer, belonging over the years to several different games, mostly HP-related, and I tend to play various death-eaters. I also tend to play vampires when given the opportunity, both in historical and modern settings. And right now I’m co-building a historical RPG toujoursliberer .
Off-line I like Sci-Fi, especially Star Trek NG, StarGate SG1. I also like Ghost in the Shell, Due South, Fraiser, and a host of other shows. Bookwise? I love Terry Pratchett. I like Bernard Cornwell’s Sharpe series, and also his King Alfred books. I’ll read anything though- from magazines my fiancée has left lying around to three-year old newspapers and random Wikipedia articles. I’m also an amateur photographer, and I’ve sold prints online. When we move out of student housing I want to keep bees, a pygmy goat, and chickens and grow my own fruit and veg. It’ll be amazing.

HOBBIES; My hobbies are much the same as my interests. I love role-playing and would love to friend someone who likes doing weird random little RPs, I have too many characters taking up space in my head. I love researching things, especially things for my course, and I think that has influenced my love of Wikipedia. I also have two naughty little cats to look after, and they take up a lot of time (most of it at 4am when I’d rather be asleep.) I spend a lot of time online every day, just… browsing, I suppose! I also enjoy slash, be it fanfic, fanart, real-life, historical or whatever. I play SIMS, mostly SIMS2 now, but I also like Castaway on PS2. I’m pretty picky about what kind of games I play on PS2, but for the most part I like simulation and role-play.
As mentioned above, I really interested in growing my own fruit and vegetables, keeping a few animals. I’ve already got my own compost heap, and some carrot, cabbage, spring onion and beetroot seedlings doing well. It often makes me feel like I’m 45 rather than 20.
