Hi, I'm Alyssa, and like many of you, I'm new over here from GJ. They really just started pissing me off and I just don't have the patience anymore, so here I am!

I'd love to have some new friends. I'm 24 and live in Boston, MA. I work as an Administrative Assistant *cough*secretary*cough* and just graduated college back in August with a degree in Psychology and Sociology.

I spend most of my time cleaning, listening to music, or watching movies (I just saw Waitress, great movie, go rent it!) Okay, so anyway, I update about everyday, except on the weekends, and I try to comment when I have something to say. I'd like to be friends with people over 21 because yeah, I tend to curse a lot and I really have no desire to read about high school stuff.

I go by Mercury Chaos on the internets. I came over here from LJ (so if you knew a mercurychaos on LJ, that was me. ^_^) I'm 20, a junior in college, and currently studying for a year in Austria (that's the country between Germany and Slovakia, not the one south of the equator) at the University of Vienna. My majors are art and German Studies. I'm a co-mod of the denglish_asylum, which is a place for mutual learning between English- and German-speaking InsaneJournal users.

My main interest right now is anime (specifically, Naruto... yes, go ahead and laugh, you don't know what you're missing) but I also like D Grey-Man and Death Note. I used to do a lot of RPing in the Naruto fandom, but right now I don't have much time for it (plus all my RPing friends are back in the US, seven time zones away. ;-;) I also like American/non-Japanese comics ("The Sandman" is my favorite) and books by authors that my junior high English teacher hated (Anne Rice, Stephen King, and the like. :D) My other interests are listed in my profile.
