while i can't promise i'll be posting a lot, i do love to comment. i have a fascination with other people's lives besides my own. there's probably a mental deficiency in there somewhere but at the moment i can't be fussed.

I go by many names, most of them having little or nothing to do with who I am. Right now, however, I'm going by Shadou. Let's see...what is their interesting to know about me? Very little really. I'll be eighteen in fourteen days, most of my time is spent in front of my computer either writing something or surfing the web.
Am I into fandom? It depends on which one we're talking about, and what kind of participation you mean. I have written fanfiction, the journal is mentioned on my profile if you must read it now, and I do dabble in fanart if I've got enough motivation for it--none posted online yet. I read and review fic, sometimes I'll beta if you ask nicely enough. Before you start asking what fandoms I follow; that's why they invented interest lists, please use them.
Do I have a policy for new friends? No, all I ask is that you be open-minded and try speaking properly. Don't speak English well? Not a problem if you speak French, Spanish or Japanese; I can read and string together a sentance in all of them. Might not be the world's best grammar, but I do try to get it as close to right as possible. That means no using "txt tlk" or whatever they're calling it now when you're talking to me.

My journal is mostly FO out of habit, and because my parents still like to snoop through everything like I'm turning eight instead of eighteen. I won't not friend you unless I've got evidence you're a spammer, troll, or a dork. This makes me sound like a jerk, I know. But I'm not, it's just that I despise people who act like idiots for the sake of bothering other people.

I'm a twenty-three-year-old girl who suffers from an arguably unhealthy amount of bibliophilia. I work as a proof reader, so I read all day at my job, take a break at lunch to read, and then come home and futz around on my computer catching up with my reading. In conclusion, reading. Reading is good.

My current fandom interests include xxxHolic, Potemayo, Zelda, Final Fantasy VII and X (Yuffie and Jecht being my obsessions), Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Digimon 02, and Hamish Macbeth mysteries. I'm a pretty big anime fan (Ouran High School Host Club, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, and Magic User's Club and probably my favorite series) even though I don't really participate in the fandoms. Of course, I'm a Harry Potter fan. Gotta love the wizards!

Um, what else. I love film noir, samurai flicks, and spaghetti westerns. Just saw 3:10 to Yuma last week, actually, and loved it. The Beatles are the best band ever. No questions there. Thumbs up to the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, too. I live with two cats, two dogs, a guinea pig, and a chicken. Mystery Science Theater rules. If I could, I'd never change out of my blue jeans. I play video games. I spend way too much time on 4chan.

And that about summarizes all my important qualities! Anyway, this journal will probably feature fandom thoughts and fan fiction more than diary entries, but who knows.
