After lunch, a deep, booming gong sounds, signalling that it's time for everybody to head to the stadium, for which a trail is lighted by green and red lanterns. A twenty-minute walk leads to an enormous golden stadium with a capacity for a hundred thousand spectators. The stairs into the stadium are carpeted in rich purple, and everything is suffused with a golden light.
A display from the team mascots precedes the match - first the Bulgarian veela, then the Irish leprechauns. After that, the two teams enter the pitch - first the Bulgarian team (Dimitrov, Ivanova, Zograf, Levski, Vulchanov, Volkov, Krum), then the Irish (Connolly, Ryan, Troy, Mullet, Moran, Quigley, Lynch) - followed by the referee, Hassan Mostafa.
Ireland would score the game's first three goals before Ivanova registered Bulgaria's opening (and, it would turn out, only) score. Then Irish Seeker Aidan Lynch was fooled by Viktor Krum's Wronski Feint, but managed to quickly resume play. Fifteen minutes later Ireland had stretched their lead to 130-10 thanks to ten consecutive goals. At this point, Mullet was fouled by the Bulgarian Keeper, Zograf, and was awarded a penalty. This led to outraged behaviour from the Bulgarians, with another penalty being awarded to Ireland and referee Hassan Mostafa being harassed by the veela - resulting in the Bulgarian mascots being sent off the pitch and Ireland getting a third penalty. Afterwards, Quigley sent a Bludger towards Krum which broke his nose.
The game ends when Krum, realizing that Bulgaria cannot win (the score at that point being 10-170), catches the Snitch. The final score, therefore, is
