WHY, HELLO THERE. This is Callirhoe again (player of Kevin, Angelo, and Jean-Paul) with another student and my first girl. GASP. Meet Nori Ashida, aged 18, who is a mutant from Japan who's been living on the streets of various American cities since running away from home at the age of 13 and illegally immigrating to the US. She's also been using antipsychotic medications to control her mutation -- which, incidentally, is that she continuously absorbs electrical energy from anything and everything around her, which she can then use to create lightning bolts from her hands. FEAR HER. No, seriously, she doesn't have control of the mutation without her drugs, which is why she'll be coming to Xaviers soon, because as fun as it is being dependent on pills (NOT), she'd like to get that under control and actually, you know, live her life.

Nori in a nutshell is a headstrong, independent girl who's totally not afraid to speak her mind and will stand up against injustice wherever she sees it. She's got strong ideas about feminism and the duty women have to speak up for their rights and not submit to men in any way, so she'll likely clash with some young men (and women!) there. She's fairly proud, and while she'll take help from others, she won't take charity and will always pay back favors or anything she's given. Aaand there's more about her in her profile, I don't know. I always forget to say something in intros.

So! At the moment she's living on the streets of Salem Center while she's scoping out the school and being cautious about trusting them with who and what she is, and I'd love to introduce her to the school with a bang. In the comics, her arrival at Xaviers is... eventful, shall we say? It involves a confrontation with Julian, and Nori being subdued by a team of students who think she's a crazy homeless junkie. We don't have to play it that way, but I'd love for her to cause some sort of commotion when she comes in, because you know, there just aren't enough explosions around here. ;P If anybody wants to volunteer to meet her when she comes knocking who would not be thrilled by having some dirty homeless Asian chick wandering around the grounds, I WOULD LOVE THAT. <3

Regan: Will be cool with her, I can't imagine she'd have too many problems with Nori, if any at all... just don't touch her iPhone, and it's all good! If Nori is cool with Regan, Regan is cool with Nori. It's as simple as that.

Laynia: will dig Nori. Especially since they both come from the Western world, if nothing else. She likes people with strong opinions too. Japan's views on mutants are very similar to Russia's. Either a mutant works for the government (like big hero six =/= winter guard, etc), or they don't (and are considered big deviants, potential criminals, often end up in sex industry (big problem in Russia), living on the streets, keep mutations hidden = stay alive, etc). So its a horrible double standard that they have going on, too. Right now, Laynia is sort of 'rose-tinted' to all of that thanks to the government, but maybe Nori could shed some light on that for her? Laynia knows of Big Hero Six, so her rose-tinted views apply to Japan as well.

Callisto: knows a thing or two about the streets after roughing it out for about 10 years, especially District X, she's seen all of it's garbage pass through the underground. Surge and Cal could have an interesting mentorship if you want to explore that!

Sofia will stand up for Nori once she meets her and learns her situation, always fearing that's what could have happened to her without Xavier's. Of course, it helps that this will put her in conflict with Julian a little. Drama, drama!

Bobby may be hard to read for once here, because he's not sure what to do about Nori. I imagine he wasn't thrilled to have any STRANGER DANGER around the mansion grounds but at the same time he'd be sympathetic to her situation AFTER he learned about it. Plus, despite how judgmental he is Bobby will usually throw it to the wind in order to make friends. He'd rather not have anyone hating him, so he'll either be nice to her or if she's too much of a clashing personality to him just leave her alone. He's a stereotypical teenage boy which means his respectful treatment of ladies slips a lot and she can call him on it.

I imagine Frost and Nori won't get along too well, a la comic canon. Emma is all about taking on even the homeless if they're mutants, but do they have to be so ... opinionated? Just like her? All of the above!

Not sure what kinds of interaction she'll have with Rahne, Sam, or Warren but just let me know if any ideas fly your way.

Remy wouldn't be not thrilled by a random Asian girl looking like a junkie being on campus, so he'd be terrible in said initial group. But when she gets in, he'll be his usual unbearable, flirtatious self.

If Jay can get to know her, I'd love to see some of the interaction they had ever-so-briefly in the comics, where he's concerned about her and the open up a little to one another. I always loved their talks <3 He'll be over to the room a lot to see her roommate, after all!

Sean will be big ol' cuddly Banshee bear. And Ness doesn't get to know her for another month or so.

OH REMY. I think Nori will be amused more than anything by his flirtatious ways, and slightly wary in case he's a creeper. She'll never say no to food, though. :)

Awww. I think that would be nice. Nori isn't the biggest fan of Sooraya, but I think she'd like Jay well enough and get along with him. She'd appreciate his concern. <3

Nori will like Sean pretty well, I think. I mean, who doesn't, right? :P And we can see what happens with Vanessa once she comes back. :)

Yay Nori! She's going to be roommates with Sooraya, right? We'll have to come up with some awesome plots there.

Rogue would totally befriend her, if they were forced to talk. Rogue probably wouldn't go out of her way to meet her, though.

I'm sure Paige would be super nice and outgoing to her. Paige would be like 'OMGCANHASFRIEND?' And offer up her shower and everything. XD

Logan can go looking for her, if you want. And Wanda would probably not have much to do with her.

Yes! There will be roomie times. But not in a very good way, at least initially. Nori will have a major issue with Sooraya's veils and the way she acts around guys, and I have no doubt she'll try to argue with her a LOT and try to convert her to feminism. ;P That should be really interesting, for sure.

I think Nori'd respect Rogue even if she's younger. They could definitely get along if they had some random connection at some point.

And Paige, awww. I think Nori will be seriously glad for her friendship, and will get along pretty well with her, yay. <3

Logan! I'd love that. If Julian bullies her into leaving, Logan should definitely come find her. Mostly I think I like Logan finding my kids, awwww. And yeah, Wanda isn't really Nori's type of girl either, but she'd be civil if they ever were teamed up or anything. :)

	Nori and Sooraya will have to have scenes together to discuss... things. XD And i can totally see Nori and Rogue playing nice. :) Yay friends for Rogue! It's hard not to like Paige. ^^ She's so sweet and friendly. 	Ahaha! Okay, that made me laugh a lot. Nori seriously doesn't want to hurt anybody, so I've no doubt she will stay away from Cessily. Once she's able to control her powers, though, maybe they could relate to each other a little? IDK. 	Totally! I loved when Nori and Cess teamed up against Nimrod. Once she gets over her general hesitation I think they can be friends. Cess is that type - she's got no beef with anyone. But since I have you...we should scene again. Julian called Kevin and Rogue (and Cessily too) lame, btw, on Cess' journal. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Yay I love Surge. Pixie will try to be friends with Nori, because she wants to be friends with everyone. Brian probably won't like her. And I don't think she'll like him. I'd love to see them butt heads. (Reply to this)

Tandy will probably meet one of the first people she's actually a bit wary of- due to her drug incident, and her natural power to neutralize drugs, they probably won't be close, unless it's through Pixie or Tyrone, or after Nori gets rid of the drugs. >.>

Betsy I think would get along with Nori, even if it's because she's the one to try and fix the messes twin creates, so the more Nori fights with Brian the more Betsy feels she needs to smooth things over. XD
