Hi Guys, it's Steph again. I'm here to make your brains explode!

So, as an English major, I have to do some really boring research papers. But luckily for me, I get to pick the topic and somehow relate it back to literacy. So naturally, I picked roleplay.

I'm doing a research paper on the usefulness of online roleplay in the classroom as a means to teaching in the Creative Writing field. I finally got all the boring 'what we already know about this topic' crap done, and now it's my turn to conduct my own research! This is where I need you! (YES ALL OF YOU!)

As a supplement to my research, I have created a semi-boring sounding, but very important survey on roleplay and I need actual roleplayers to fill it out. Neat, yeah?

There's a disclaimer on page that the answers are anonymous, but ARE being used for the research so please PLEASE answers completely (just saying yes or no really doesn't help me) and giving examples are great -- little stories, whatever. That might make it a long thing to fill out but I would SUPER APPRECIATE IT IF YOU DO <3 Granted, the last question does ask for examples of your writing, so if you want to keep yourself SUPER ANONYMOUS and don't feel comfortable with me using an analysis of your writing in my paper, then you don't have to worry about filling that part out.

I know it's in the disclaimer in the survey, but I will use the results to synthesize and use as evidence to support my claim so.. yeah. That's all.

THE ROLEPLAY SURVEY!

Hey folks! Samma here. As some of you know, I am struggling to finish up my last semester in school, and to that end, I have a huge thesis due. I'm writing the script to a graphic novel, and I have a ton of writing left to do. It's due either April 9 or April 16 (I'll get the proper date on Tuesday, yuck), and I really need to focus on it. To that end, I am giving my characters excuses to head off for a solid week and a half or so. I'm on a bit of a hiatus until April 9/10. I will finish up any threads I start, but will be slow tagging starting March 31 (which is when it technically begins).

Remy is running off to New Orleans for a while. I have a log started with Missy, I might post it when I come off the hiatus, unless we wrap it up earlier. On March 30, he's leaving early in the morning, with a journal post explaining that his father called him home for a few days. He'll be back April 9. Sean found a singing competition in New Jersey he thinks Jay can win, and got permission to take him to it, so they'll be gone from April 2 to April 10 (we'll pretend between the start of the hiatus and then XD). And Vanessa's being found out on March 29. She'll leave with a journal post after Rogue finds out about Weapon X and tells Professor Xavier. It will be kept underwraps by the professors, so her journal entry will be nice and cryptic. Obviously, she's coming back for the Weapon X plot on April 11.

So hiatus is a misnomer for me, since, well, I'm bad at resisting temptation. You'll see me about. I'll tag up threads 'til they're finished. I'll just take a while between tags, and my characters won't get in on new threads for that time period. Sorry to poof on you guys (and write a complicated, long OOC thread! <3) I will keep up with threads, too, I'm sure, since I'll need stress relief, so I can't wait to read all the awesome threads!
