Laurie caught Celeste's eye, returning her smile. He was going to be giddy and distracted for the rest of the day, almost unusual state of mind for the normally reserved young man. It would be much better if he retired to his office for the rest of the day before he embarrassed himself in front of Narcissa or, even worse, Celeste.
