Celeste didn't reply as she was a bit busy contemplating the implications of mistletoe. Especially when the suggestion fell from the lips of Laurence Higgs. Which led to a small amount of contemplation of said lips. Which led her right back to the implications of mistletoe. Unconsciously, she touched her own lips with gentle fingertips.
Not being caught up in thoughts of her CFO's lips, Narcissa was still capable of conversation. She found mistletoe to be terribly tacky, but over half a century with Lucius had taught her that it was best to guide a man away from his lesser ideas, rather than embarrass him by pointing them out.
"Not cliche," she said, as if she were honestly musing on the subject. "However, it does seem to bring out the worst in certain people. I don't mean stolen kisses as those will happen with or without an excuse, but I can recall several instances when someone thought it would be clever to charm mistletoe to float above the head of anyone who walked under it, no matter where they went, until they were kissed. I try to avoid giving those who would engage in those sorts of antics the opportunity."
