Daisy popped out beyond his wards and Apparated straight to Helga's Hill. She held her Wee Witch meeting at the town hall, but still needed to set up the tables and chairs before the children arrived. She smiled at Tristan Montgomery's face on a poster as she headed inside. While Daisy didn't want to get too caught up in the politics of the town as she was so fond of anyone and didn't want anyone's feelings to be hurt, she did think it was exciting that Mrs Montgomery was running for mayor.
After all, Tristan's husband had been Daisy's first crush and now he might be the first husband of Helga's Hill!
She was still floating furniture into place when Briza clamored into the building, towing Brigitte along behind her. Allie and Georgie were next and, as always, a striking pair of opposites - one dark-haired and composed, the other blonde and all over the room. Molly, Abby, and Lucy arrived, all smiles as ever, and Molly desperate to show Daisy that she'd lost one of her front teeth. There was also a hoard of their cousins, as always. Kathryn and Grace arrived at some point but Daisy was only able to wave to her mother in the melee.
Once she had all the girls settled in chairs, she opened her mouth to explain that today was going to be a special day for playing games, but before she got the chance, Kathryn interrupted her.
"You wore that dress yesterday," Kathryn said, eyeing her oldest sister shrewdly.
Daisy turned scarlet. "I didn't! Just one very like it."
"No," Kathryn said, shaking her head. "It was that one. That one has one yellow button missing.
"Oh," Daisy said, trying to laugh it off and desperately not glancing at the few mums still chatting to each other rather than heading out immediately. "I must really like it!"
