When Eddie stirred again, it was because a stray shaft of light decided to poke him in the eyeball. Grumbling, he tried to shift out of the way of the evil sunshine only to find that he was pinned in place by not at all evil Sunshine. He smiled sleepily down at the crown of her head for a moment before closing his eyes once more.
Unfortunately, though, once his body realized he was somewhat awake, it refused to let him go back to sleep. Between the complaints of his bladder and the knee that tended to give him trouble if he kept it too still for too long - a legacy of when he damned near broke it when first learning to ride a motorcycle - he knew that he needed to get up. "Sunshine," he mumbled. "Need to get up for a minute."
