"I know." Whether he meant he knew people were always welcome or that too many people in one location for too long was dangerous, it didn't matter. John knew both things. People were what was important. But, too many people was as dangerous as too few. "Not many places this many can stay long-term, even without extra bodies. Not much that's defensible." Easier in the cities, more rubble and debris, more random pockets of heat or air to confuse the sensors. At least for a little while.
