"Here or anywhere," Remus pointed out with a slight tilt to his lips that might have been a tired smile. He wondered briefly how weird it must be for James and Draco to consider they were actually working together on something. Possibly weirder for James to think about working with a Malfoy than for Draco to think of working with a Potter, if just not this particular one.
"Thank you. You two didn't have to do that. Once I'm awake I can usually manage on my own." Remus rolled slowly to his side, bracing his weight on one hand so that he could push himself up. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate his friends' being there. Of course, he didn't. But, he'd grown used to fending for himself over the last eight years and it was difficult to remind himself that he wasn't alone any more. Once he'd pushed himself up, it was easier to turn, albeit still slowly, so that he could get the wall at his back. It helped ease his need for security. But, today it also helped hold him upright so he could talk to Draco properly.
"I'm glad the spells held. I'd hate to think I was the reason these people were attacked." He closed his eyes for a moment as he caught his breath from sitting up. "Wolves don't like to be caged," he said when he opened them. "The answer to the question nobody ever knew to ask is that not changing every month makes it rather a bit more difficult when it does happen. Necrohelm was three months ago."
