"We are trying to manage it better. Believe it or not, the Necrohelm potion already contains numbing ingredients that make it less painful. It would be much worse with the Wolfsbane. I've been working on trying to see if I can increase the amount of jasmine. I certainly can't increase the amount of aconite, but maybe I can add some coca, the problem being that it's illegal in many places and I'm not sure that Remus would even want to use it, because it would affect his perception of things." All of that to say that he had no idea how to improve the potion.
"Apart from Grindelwald, who was expelled and studied with Dumbledore," he pointed out. "We have a tendency of developing Dark wizards, all in the name of withholding information and dumbing down education." He shook his head. "I haven't, because it is a different type of magic. Sabrina's is somewhat similar, but Strange magic seemed aimed at fighting and it requires more movements than necessary. Besides, we studied it in Defense. Remus would cast it in school when he was teaching. I don't need to ask, when I just need to train."
He chuckled. "Harry and I are complicated. I wanted to be his friend, but we met at Madam Malkin's and things didn't go so well. Things got worse, totally my fault, I will admit, but after that we simply couldn't stay away from each other," Draco said. "I don't think we realized why." He snorted. "I'm pretty sure Harry still doesn't know, but we just couldn't stay away. I even knew when he was around while being under his invisibility cloak. Then he showed up at my house after Greyback had captured him. He had his face all swollen up in an attempt to hide who he was, but I knew. I could recognize him while invisible, imagine if I couldn't recognize him, especially when he was with his friends, but I lied to protect him.
"The next month, he sneaked back into school. I saw him and wanted to let him go. My friends didn't agree. They were ready to hand him over to the Dark Lord. Me too, for that matter. Vince cast fiendfyre, but he couldn't control it. Harry saved me," he said with a sigh. "During the battle, my mother lied to the Dark Lord to protect Harry. After the war, he testified in our favour, so that we didn't go to Azkaban. After, he helped me find a job at Gringotts, and with time, he'd bring the Dark objects that the Aurors found to me, and I started consulting for them. You can't call us mates, but our lives are intertwined."
