If Elizabeth made decisions in the blink of an eye, so did humans. Some were just better at analyzing facts, and Steve was one of those people. He still kept the smile on his face. "Maybe, but if we behave like the machines and kill everyone who isn't in peak condition, we turn into them. The beauty of humanity is our imperfection, even when it's very frustrating to deal with it."
Steve heard the weapons, but he was more interested in her reaction. It was almost mechanical and yet she was aware of things that she shouldn't have been aware of. It was only the fact that the bus had brought her here that hadn't made him push more.
"So did I, in a place without the war or the machines." He looked around the camp himself. "They've been hiding for a while. So why do you think they aren't going to survive? It seems to me that they are well hidden. The machines don't seem to know about Universal and cool rides."
